PIPING DESIGN AND FLEXIBILITY ANALYSIS

Our specialists perform pipeline flexibility calculations (pipe stress) for piping in all types of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, as well as fiber-reinforced plastic and thermoplastic piping materials.

These analyses are conducted in accordance with all relevant standards, such as EN 13480, ASME B31.x, ISO 14692, etc.

Our team expertly optimizes your piping design and selects necessary components such as expansion joints or spring supports. All results are documented in a clear report that you can use in your PED dossier.

STRENGTH CALCULATIONS

We have the expertise to perform the necessary mechanical calculations for all your pressure-containing equipment. This includes new construction of pressure vessels in accordance with EN 13445 and ASME VIII, and storage tanks in accordance with EN 14015 and API 650. Additionally, we can conduct all required calculations for re-rating or modifications.

The calculations are performed using both “Design-by-rule” and “Design-by-analysis” methods, utilizing advanced finite element models. This allows us not only to handle new construction but also to perform fit-for-service calculations on vessels and tanks, addressing aspects such as non-compliance with roundness requirements and calculations for details that cannot be designed through “Design-by-rule,” such as the frangibility of anchored storage tanks.

All results are documented in a clear report that you can use in your PED dossier.

Flow analysis

For your piping system, our team conducts pressure drop calculations to determine the pipe diameter and pump selection. This ensures that your piping system will achieve the desired capacity.

The dynamic fluid behavior in a pipeline system is assessed through a water hammer analysis. This analysis helps determine pressure spikes that occur during the operational phases of the piping system. It also allows us to identify design or operational changes that can prevent these pressure spikes. This, in turn, extends the lifespan of your piping system and prevents unwanted damage to pipes and pipe supports.

COMPREHENSIVE ENGINEERING SERVICES

To fully relieve you of your mechanical and structural engineering challenges, we can perform all other necessary engineering tasks in addition to the above-mentioned activities.
